This Privacy Policy explains how KreisKlang (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and our software product Fabrik, a VST/AU plugin.
1. Who We Are
We are a company based in Germany. Our primary markets are the EU and the USA. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable US privacy laws.
2. Data We Collect
a) Website Data
When you use our website and store (powered by WordPress and WooCommerce), we may collect:
- Name, email, billing address, and other account details
- Order history
- Payment data (via Stripe or PayPal; we do not store card details)
- IP address and browser user-agent string
- Form submissions (via Formidable Forms), including any data you provide in forms for contact, support, or feedback
- Newsletter Signup: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address using MailPoet. Emails are sent via our own mail server, not through MailPoet.
Plugins such as Jetpack, WP Statistics, Wordfence, and Formidable Forms may collect limited anonymized or pseudonymized data for performance, security, analytics, and form handling.
b) Product Data (Fabrik)
- License Activation: We store only the hash of your license key, not the key itself. We also store limited metadata related to your license, such as the license type (Core, Plus, or Pro).
- Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage data is collected by default to help us improve the product. You can choose to disable analytics tracking at any time via
Preset -> Settings -> Analytics
, including when entering your license key. - Analytics ID: Used to identify and remove your anonymized data upon request.
- Polls: If you participate in polls, your answers are tracked, but not tied to personally identifiable information.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Under GDPR, our legal basis for collecting and processing your data includes:
- Your consent (e.g. analytics tracking)
- Contractual necessity (e.g. providing your license key and access to Fabrik)
- Legitimate interests (e.g. improving our product and website security)
- Compliance with legal obligations
4. How We Use Your Data
- To process purchases and deliver your license
- To provide customer support
- To manage and improve our website and plugin
- To communicate updates, if you opted in
- To ensure security and prevent fraud
5. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with third-party services only to the extent necessary:
- Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal)
- Hosting and analytics tools (e.g. Jetpack, WP Statistics)
- Email services (e.g. MailPoet)

Social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Discord, YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, Twitter/X) may receive data if you interact with us through them. Their privacy policies apply.
We have partners who also sell Fabrik, including in external territories. When you purchase through a partner, their privacy policy applies in addition to our product data policy as outlined in section 2b.
6. Data Retention
- Account and order information: retained as long as you have an account or as required by tax/legal regulations
- Analytics data: retained until you request deletion using your Analytics ID
- Poll data: retained indefinitely in anonymous form unless requested otherwise

Under GDPR and applicable US laws, you have the right to:
- Access your data
- Correct your data
- Request deletion
- Object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

9. Cookies
Our website currently uses cookies only for essential functionality. Most analytics and performance tools (such as Jetpack and WP Statistics) are configured to avoid the use of cookies or rely on anonymized data.
We do not use cookies for advertising or personalized tracking at this time. If we introduce cookie-based analytics or additional tracking features in the future, we will update this policy and may introduce a cookie consent banner in compliance with applicable regulations.
